It is part of the larger Church of South India (CSI) communion, which is one of the major Christian denominations in the country. The CSI Thoothukudi Diocese is a diverse and inclusive Christian community, committed to spreading the message of love, peace, and faith in the region. With a rich history dating back many decades, the diocese has played a significant role in the spiritual and social fabric of Thoothukudi and its surrounding areas.

CSI Thoothukudi-Nazareth Diocese Provides Health Care to Common People During the Pandemic CSI SYNOD NEWS | Wednesday, May 19, 2021 | Thoothukudi - Nazareth

The St. Luke's Hospital in Nazareth under the auspices of the Thoothukudi-Nazareth Diocese of the Church of South India (CSI) got approval from the State Health Department to treat the COVID patients. A Covid ward is already arranged. Oxygen cylinders are
